Dr. Jessica Grieger

Jessica is a nutrition research scientist specialising in maternal cardiometabolic health across preconception, pregnancy, and fertility at Adelaide University. Her research program has generated influential evidence linking pre-pregnancy diet quality with time to pregnancy, pregnancy complications, and clinical reproductive outcomes. She leads the Nutrition, Metabolic and Reproductive Health research group within the Robinson Research Institute. Her work integrates population studies, clinical cohorts, and methodologies including bioelectric impendence analysis, body composition, and omics approaches. A major focus of her research is optimising maternal nutrition to prevent and manage gestational diabetes. She has a particular interest in culturally and linguistically diverse populations and addressing inequities in nutrition care. Jessica’s work aims to inform the development of scalable, clinically relevant nutrition tools for women and health professionals. She is actively involved in multidisciplinary collaborations spanning endocrinology, obstetrics, and public health.
