Prof Eleanor Scott integrates delivering clinical care with performing clinical research using new technologies to improve pregnancy outcomes for women with diabetes, translating this into clinical implementation. Recent trials include: AIDAPT (HCL in T1D), MAGIC (CGM for diagnosis of GDM), PROTECT (CGM in T2D), RECOGNISED (CGM in GDM), IMAGINE (CGM for diagnosis and management of dysglycemia in pregnancy). She has been heavily involved in shaping clinical services across the UK. She has been the NHS England Clinical Lead for Implementing CGM and HCL in Diabetes Pregnancy - developing & delivering the clinical pathways, procurement, education, training & governance required for rollout across the NHS. She has also led the development of the first national Gestational Diabetes Audit, which has provided data on maternal and neonatal outcomes and long-term follow up from over 500,000 GDM pregnancies in the UK (2025). Internationally she is a member of DPSG and general secretary for IADPSG.
